Our partner Marcio Merkl published the article “Oki Data Americas, Inc. v. ASD, Inc (WIPO Case D2001-0903)” in the book celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Center for Dispute Resolution, Mediation and Arbitration in Intellectual Property of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (CSD-ABPI), “15 Years of CSD – Comments on SACI-Adm”. The article addresses the important precedent of the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) regarding disputes over domain names registered by resellers, distributors, representatives, and similar entities. The book launch took place on 20.Apr.2026, at the headquarters of the Brazilian Network Information Center (NIC.br), the body that implements the projects of the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br), which is responsible for coordinating and integrating Internet initiatives and services in Brazil.
Nosso sócio publicou o artigo “Oki Data Americas, Inc. v. ASD, Inc (Caso OMPI D2001-0903)” no livro em celebração aos 15 anos do .abpi “15 Anos do CSD – Comentários ao SACI-Adm”. O artigo aborda o importante precedente da Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) sobre disputas de nomes de domínio registrados por revendedores, distribuidores, representantes e congêneres. O lançamento do livro ocorreu no dia 20.abr.2026 na sede do Núcleo de Informação e Coordenação do Ponto BR - , órgão que implementa os projetos do Comitê Gestor da Internet no Brasil - CGI.br, responsável por coordenar e integrar as iniciativas e serviços da Internet no Brasil.

Our partner Maria Inez Abreu moderated Panel 04 “Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Property and Digital Law” held at the “III Paraná Congress on Negotiation and Mediation of the Brazilian Bar Association - Parana Sectional (OAB/PR)”. With thought-provoking talks by Caio Faro Nunes, Fernando Hoffmann, and Cezar Franco, the panel addressed mediation in intellectual property and the application of artificial intelligence and virtual reality in mediation. The Congress, with a total of 12 panels over two days, was organized by Negotiation and Mediation Committee of the OAB/PR and supported by Intellectual Property Committee of the OAB/PR, the Center for Dispute Resolution, Mediation and Arbitration in Intellectual Property of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (CSD-ABPI), the Paraná Section of the Law Firms Study Center (CESA/PR), the Paraná Lawyers Institute (IAP), among others, and integrating representatives of the judiciary, lawyers, mediators and Committees of the Brazilian Bar Association of the Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná and São Paulo Sections.

Com 476 inscrições, num dia concorrido de eventos paralelos pelo Dia Mundial da Propriedade Intelectual, o evento organizado pela Comissão Especial de Propriedade Intelectual do em alusão ao Dia da PI dedicado aos 30 anos da Lei de Propriedade Industrial superou expectativas. , Presidente; e , Vice-presidente, moderados por , Secretária-Geral, e com ativa participação do púbico, trouxeram reflexões sobre a adequação dos instrumentos jurídicos diante das novas formas de criação, inovação e exploração de ativos intangíveis.
