"The U.S. government is trying to end TPS for many of these countries, and immigrants are challenging the government’s actions in multiple lawsuits. The Supreme Court heard arguments about TPS in April 2026, and it will likely make a decision by early July 2026. The Supreme Court’s decision will be focused on TPS for Haiti and Syria, but it could affect TPS for other countries as well.
Note: You can apply for both TPS and asylum at the same time, if you are eligible for both. "

Last night was a truly special evening for our MMG Law family. We are incredibly proud to celebrate our COO and Co-Owner, Cecilia Gillhouse, for being recognized as a 2026 honoree of the Women of Distinction.

Cecilia’s dedication to immigrant families, survivors, social justice, and our community has touched countless lives throughout Wisconsin for many years. Her leadership, compassion, and commitment to creating a more just and welcoming community inspire all of us every day.
Thank you to everyone who joined the celebration, supported this important event, and continues to believe in the work we do together. We are beyond proud of Cecilia and grateful to our community for walking beside us in this journey. 💜

MMG Law will be CLOSED on May 1st in observance of Día Sin Latinos. MMG Law will stand in solidarity with our community by participating in Día Sin Latinos—a day to recognize the essential contributions, labor, culture, and presence of Latino and immigrant communities in our country. Our offices will be closed for the day as part of this collective action. At MMG Law, our work is rooted in serving immigrant families every single day—helping them navigate complex legal systems, protect their rights, and build safer, more stable futures. We see firsthand the strength, resilience, and invaluable impact of our community, and we believe it is important to pause and uplift that reality. This is more than a day off—this is a day of visibility, reflection, and advocacy. We encourage everyone to take a moment to learn, support, and stand alongside immigrant communities.

MMG Law estará CERRADO el 1 de mayo en observancia de Día Sin Latinos.
