Tuesday Tip: In Wisconsin estate planning, an Inheritance Protection Trust can be created when a person wants to help ensure their inheritance is transferred to a contingent beneficiary should the primary beneficiary pass away. For example, a parent can put their child’s inheritance in the trust, and if their child passes, assets remaining in the trust will go to another chosen beneficiary (such as a grandchild).
