We are pleased to share glimpses from the UNDP–UNEAD Programme: 2025 Global Leadership Academy for Women in the Digital Era, held in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Our Managing Partner, Barrister Rashna Imam, was honoured to be one of only two women nominated by UNDP Bangladesh to represent the country at this prestigious global platform.

Reflecting on the experience, Barrister Imam described it as both exciting and deeply relevant, particularly at a time when Bangladesh is navigating an important democratic transition.

The Academy brought together a diverse, international cohort of women leaders from across five regions and multiple countries, creating a powerful space for exchange and collaboration and building lasting global connections.

The programme focused on, among others:
• Transformative and inclusive leadership
• Strategic communication
• Leading in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) world
• Intergenerational leadership in a rapidly evolving digital world

Upon the kind invitation of the Law Club, Department of Law, Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST), Cumilla, she delivered a compelling lecture on “Judicial Interventions in Health Rights: The Expanding Role of Public Interest Litigation.”

Her lecture explored how courts and public interest litigation continue to shape access to healthcare and accountability, sparking thoughtful discussion among future legal professionals.

We are pleased to share glimpses from the awareness-raising programme on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment on Campus, organised by the Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST) in Cumilla.

Our Managing Partner, Barrister Rashna Imam, was invited to conduct the programme—an invitation that reflects her unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and the promotion of safe and inclusive educational environments. Through her work, she continues to champion legal awareness and empower institutions and individuals to stand firmly against harassment and uphold dignity for all.

The programme also featured a practical demonstration by our Associate, Barrister Masudul Huq, along with our intern, Ms. Meghomala Meghosree Rahman.

We are pleased to share glimpses of the dialogue titled “Human Rights, Our Everyday Essentials: Reaffirming Dignity, Equality and Justice in Bangladesh”, organised by the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) in honour of International Human Rights Day 2025 to which our Managing Partner, Barrister Rashna Imam contributed as a Distinguished Discussant.

In her usual eloquent manner, she spoke of the structural and social barriers to gender parity and explored possible solutions. She emphasised the need to address GBV (online and offline), identify and amend discriminatory laws and redesign infrastructure and policies in educational institutions and workplaces to make them more gender inclusive.
