Tuesday, the court dismissed our client’s charges at preliminary examination.

This outcome is a reminder that preparation, persistence, and principled advocacy make a difference. Standing beside someone while their future hangs in the balance is never something I take lightly and today was a powerful example of the system working the way it is supposed to.

Grateful for the opportunity to fight for my client's rights and for a result that reflects fairness and accountability.

Last night, a young client of mine slept in her own bed for the first time in 18 months. This was only accomplished through the coordinated hard work of our office, the prosecutor's office, and the courts.

For the first time in over a year she got to enjoy the quiet, ordinary comfort of home - something most of us take for granted, but something we fought incredibly hard for her to get back to.

Juvenile cases are different. They’re not just about charges or court dates. They’re about kids. Kids who make mistakes, kids who carry trauma, kids who still have so much life ahead of them. Sometimes, they just need someone to stand in their corner and remind the system that rehabilitation matters.

Walking alongside young people through the hardest chapters of their lives is one of the most meaningful parts of what I do. Today wasn’t just a legal victory - it was a human one.

I hope last night brought peace, rest, and the reminder that a new chapter is possible.

NOT GUILTY on all 9 counts.

After a full jury trial, our client was found NOT GUILTY of all nine counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct.

These cases are among the most serious and emotionally charged in our justice system. Accusations alone can permanently damage lives which is why the constitutional presumption of innocence matters.

We are grateful for a jury that carefully evaluated the evidence, followed the law, and held the prosecution to its burden of proof. Today’s verdict is a powerful reminder that allegations are not evidence and that justice requires fairness, diligence, and integrity at every stage.

Our firm remains committed to standing between our clients and the full weight of the government - protecting rights, demanding accountability, and pursuing justice with integrity.
