Shepherd's Shelf Emergency Food Cupboard providing food assistance to families and individuals in the Souderton School District, Towamencin, Kulpsville, and Lansdale. etc.)

The Shepherd's Shelf provides opportunities to fight hunger, advocates for fair policies to address hunger issues in our community, and secure provisions for healthy, nutritious food. The Shepherd's Shelf partners with other food cupboards and community programs to work together for food equity and opportunity. The Shepherd's Shelf is open on Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 PM and Tu

esdays from 10-11am. Recipients will need to show a photo ID and proof of residency (this needs to be a current utility bill, lease agreement. Completion of a declaration of need form is also required. The Shepherd's Shelf is located on the grounds of Christ Lutheran Church in Kulpsville. The distribution center is in the red brick building on the exit driveway. In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English. To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992. Submit your completed form or letter to USDA by:

Shepherd's Shelf is ONCE AGAIN amazed at the caring community of Harleysville. The community was SO generous at last week's "Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive." Bags and Bags and BAGS of food were put at mailboxes, collected by the postal service workers and taken back to the Harleysville Post Office. This food will feed so many experiencing food insecurity within our community. We are SO grateful and thank each partcipating home, the postal workers for doing this amazingly helpful food drive and the volunteers that picked up the food and delivered it to Shepherd's Shelf.

They say "It takes a Village!"... thank you for being such a wonderful "Village", Harleysville!
