Five long years ago I have dreamed of coming back to It was this park that made me revisit what I truly loved growing up. As a kid I remember reading my Dads books and studying his geology books to know where everything was at. Five years ago made me explore new places that I have forgotten about until it awakened a part of my soul to discover it all over again. I will be visiting in a few weeks to discover more areas here and around Tennessee, and North Carolina.

It’s been five long years since I’ve seen you. Since I’ve heard your water pour down over me. The sound of rain traveling down the river with such beautiful tones that warm my heart. I miss you. I’ll be back very soon to begin a new chapter with you.

One of the largest high-elevation meadows in the Sierra Nevada, Tuolumne Meadows at 8,600 feet has been also among the most visible to past pioneers, present visitors, and scientists.
Here in this shot I took August of 2019, is one of two tallest peaks in Yosemite National Park. This ancient volcano called Mt. Dana has a reddish brown color, hints of a different origin than the white granites of other mountains in the park. The metamorphic rock forming the summit once graced the pacific coast. There are three shots I zoomed up on closer to display and optimized the colors to show you the different layers of rock.

Here’s a close up of Mcway Falls in Big Sur. My heart is sad about the fires all across the west coast and I really hope people would not use fireworks and pyrotechnics for gender reveal parties. How can you be so stupid?! Also to the hikers that are not trained or have enough experience with fire and what to do are moronic. It’s inexcusable and you should be fined, or do time. You wrecked many homes and people lost their lives, because you didn’t think that fire (in one of the driest states) would be harmless. I’ve been there three times and it’s so dry compared to where I live on the East Coast. It’s so humid here and I wish all this moisture could go your way. Sending prayers and donations your way to help as best as I can.
