SCOTUS can revisit a right, but they cannot stop the LGBTQ+ community from preparing for what comes next.

A coordinated network of anti-LGBTQ+ organizations is actively working to dismantle marriage equality by reframing LGBTQ+ families as a threat to children.

If Obergefell falls, many states could stop issuing new same-sex marriage licenses overnight, creating chaos around parenting, healthcare, inheritance, and decision-making rights.

That is why the 9 essential LGBTQ+ legal documents and a properly structured estate plan matter now more than ever.

Join me live on June 2 at 12:00 PM EST for our next FREE LEGAL Q***R & A. Link in bio.

They’re organized, coordinated and very well-funded funded.

47 of the most powerful anti-LGBTQ+ organizations, bankrolled by Hobby Lobby, just formed an alliance called “Greater Than.” Their stated target: overturning Obergefell and the Respect for Marriage Act.

Here’s what they’re betting you won’t do: protect yourself privately. If they overturn Obergefell, they still can’t touch what you’ve locked down through defensive estate planning. Your partner. Your chosen family. Your legacy.

Built right, it holds even if marriage equality does not.

👉 Save this and send it to someone who needs to see it.

Today’s Legal Q***r & A tackled the Colorado case headed to SCOTUS that could decide whether organizations receiving taxpayer dollars can exclude LGBTQ+ families and children under the banner of “religious freedom.”

This case is bigger than Colorado. It could redefine the balance between LGBTQ+ rights and religious exemptions nationwide in every aspect of daily life - from marriage equality, adoptions, hospital visitation etc.

Thank you so much to Philly Black Pride and Bebashi for creating such a vital space for us to empower one another.

It was an absolute honor to share the stage with Representative Malcolm Kenyatta and Tito Valdes Philadelphia’s Executive Director of LGBTQ Affairs, moderated by the incredible Nia Desiré Clark of HRC.

We discussed the rising tide of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation across the country. From housing instability to the over-policing of our community and the intersectional impacts of racism, these policies are designed to make our lives untenable. We discussed how even “victories” like Bostock are being challenged in places like Texas and Tennessee.

In a climate where our rights are being debated in statehouses, taking control of your own legal status is a radical act of self-love and community protection.

And that’s why I founded Giampolo Law Group.

We specialize in LGBTQ+ Estate Planning. We don’t just write Wills; we build legal fortresses around your life, your partner, and your chosen family. Whether it’s power of attorney, healthcare proxies, or asset protection, we ensure that you, not a biased court or an estranged relative, decide your future.

Let’s move forward together. Stronger, protected, and unafraid.

There is a specific kind of freedom that comes with looking at your ID and seeing your name.

A name that reflects who ALL of who you are. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

During the Philly Service Day for the Caravan of Hope, we had the privilege of helping this incredible human navigate the legal name change and gender marker process.

The “legal” side of transition can be daunting mountain of paperwork and anxiety. But as he says, when you do it with your community it becomes a “very chill, very easy, and very comfortable” process.

We are so proud to provide these legal resources and social support to help our family feel seen, safe, and celebrated.

The stories coming out of this tour are powerful, emotional, and vital. We’re documenting the journey, the legal wins, and the beautiful people we meet along the way.

After 31 days and 17 cities, the Caravan of Hope has officially completed its cross-country mission, rolling back into the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection!

And coming home to Philadelphia felt nothing short of magical.

Our mission of “rolling resistance” was simple: bring free legal services directly to our LGBTQ+ family in underserved and rural areas. From name changes and gender marker updates to essential estate planning like Wills and POA’s, we’ve traveled thousands of miles to ensure that justice and legal protection aren’t dictated by your zip code.

Our final homecoming service day at Giampolo Law Group’s office was a beautiful conclusion to this journey. Seeing the community come together - from those seeking legal aid to those simply there to celebrate the mission - it reminds me why we hit the road in the first place.

A massive, heartfelt thank you to Bridget Foy and the team at Bridget Foy’s for hosting such an incredible homecoming party! Your hospitality and constant support for the LGBTQ+ community is a reminder that safe, affirming spaces still matter deeply, and that the people who create them make a lasting difference.

To everyone who joined us, supported us from afar, or met us at a stop along the way: We could not do this without all of you.

The RV might be parked for now but the resistance continues!

🚐🏳️‍🌈 I had an awesome time with this couple in Pittsburgh who stopped by the Caravan of Hope to get their legal affairs in order.

Whether it’s securing your marriage rights, updating your legal name, or ensuring your partner is your healthcare proxy, getting these documents done now takes a massive weight off your shoulders.

We’re bringing free legal resources and advocacy directly to you because everyone deserves to feel safe and seen. Plus, there might even be some dog cameos along the way! 🐶

“Safe to Exist.” 🏳️‍⚧️

Those are the words Quinn used, and they’ve been ringing in my ears since.

I know I talk a lot about paperwork - but let’s be very clear: for our trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse siblings, these documents are a shield. 🛡️✨

Under the current administration, the ground has shifted. We are witnessing a full fledged genocide erasing folks from existence and rolling back protections that we fought decades to secure.

Quinn shared that they had been wanting to align their passport and ID for ages, but the current climate made it feel urgent.

Why? Because when your documents don’t match:
• Travel becomes a risk.
• Healthcare becomes a hurdle.
• Interactions with authority become dangerous.

Your Paperwork is Power.

As I told Quinn today, having a “Plan of Attack” isn’t about being paranoid; it’s about being prepared.

Getting your name and gender markers updated now is one of the most proactive ways to protect your ability to move through the world safely.

Laramie gave me a moment I won’t forget. We sat down with Megan, a single mom who came to the RV with a simple mission: she wanted to make sure her kids were protected, no matter what. ✨

Megan mentioned she had been looking into a Will for a while but didn’t know where to turn. While a Will is a great first step, for our community, it’s often just the baseline.

Will vs. Revocable Trust

• The Will: Think of this as the “Titanic” to the court. It tells a judge your wishes, but it still has to go through Probate - a public, lengthy and expensive court process where anyone (including estranged family) can stick their nose in your business. 📑🚫

• The Revocable Trust: This is your “Speed Boat.” It holds your assets now passed them to your beneficiaries privately and instantly without a judge ever getting involved. For q***r families and single parents, this is the ultimate tool to ensure your chosen guardians and loved ones aren’t left fighting a system that wasn’t built for us.

Legal protection shouldn’t be a luxury - it’s a necessity for our survival and peace of mind. 🚐💨

🔗 GET YOUR PLAN IN PLACE. You don’t need to be Vanderbilt to need a Trust; you just need people you love and a desire to keep the state out of your persona life.

🚐🏳️‍⚧️Stop 11 on the Caravan of Hope was a whirlwind of coffee, cocktails, community, DOGS and our favorite thing in the world - legal empowerment.

One thing that keeps coming up in conversations is that q***r relationships don’t always fit into a neat little box.

And honestly? We like it that way!

But here’s the thing, while our love is boundless, the law is a bit of a stickler for the traditional.

We got a chance to talk with this amazing couple about the reality of our rights. We often think that getting married means legal protection. But even if you have the ring, marriage only gives you privileges - zero power.

However, there are 9 documents that create a Legal Moat around the Castle that is your marriage.

To truly protect a q***r union; especially if you’re poly, non-binary, or just doing life in a way that doesn’t follow the 1950s script, you require the 9 Essential Documents. ⚖️✨

The Revocable Trust IS that “moat”around your castle. It’s private, it avoids the mess of probate, and it ensures that you, not the state, decide who manages your assets and your healthcare.

We’re out here in the RV because equality shouldn’t be a “zip code lottery.” 🚐💨 Whether you’re in Philly or Omaha, you deserve to know that your chosen family is recognized in a hospital room and your legacy is protected in the courtroom.

🔗 Don’t wait for an emergency to find out you’re a “legal stranger” to the person you love. Head to www.prideplans.com (http://www.prideplans.com/) to grab our Estate Planning Checklist and see if you’re missing any of the 9 must-have documents!

RV there yet? Not even close. Will we get there together? 1000% 🌈🙏🏼💙 See you in Iowa City!

“RV there yet? Not by a long shot!”

Meet Ruben, a Denver local who stepped up to volunteer with the Caravan of Hope during our recent stop in the Mile High City.

Ruben’s story is a perfect example of why we do what we do: he didn’t just come to help—he came because he needed help, too.

In the middle of his volunteer shift, Ruben and I sat down with the real boss, Niko, to get some long-overdue guidance on estate planning.

Like so many of us, Ruben wanted to ensure his husband and his future were protected, but navigating the legal system can be a daunting, expensive, and—let’s be honest—sometimes a non-affirming experience.

The Caravan of Hope is a “rolling resistance”—a 32-foot RV tour traveling 4,800 miles to bring free legal services directly to the LGBTQ+ community. This mission is about more than just paperwork; it’s about providing a safe, discreet, and expert space for those who need it most.
Whether it’s in a bustling city like Denver or a rural town where resources are scarce, we’re providing:

• Name Changes & Gender Markers: Helping folks navigate the evolving (and often hostile) legal landscape to ensure their IDs reflect who they truly are.
• Estate Planning: Basic wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives to protect our families.
• General Legal Guidance: Providing a roadmap for employment discrimination, adoption, and more.

It was a “wonderful experience” to not only give back to the local community but to receive the support Ruben needed in return. We are incredibly grateful for volunteers like Ruben and for the Denver community for welcoming us with open arms.

The tour continues, and we aren’t stopping until the legal gap for LGBTQ+ folks is closed.
