Hello STLA Members –

Voting for the 2026-2027 STLA board is open NOW through Monday April 13th at 11:45 p.m. You can vote using the link below. I have attached statements provided with each candidates nominations as to why they are running/would be a good fit for the position. For the 3L rep position, there is only one candidate running. However, Student Involvement requires at least two options on the ballot, which is why “NA” appears as a choice. Winners will be announced via email by Tuesday, April 14th.

This last Thursday and Friday STLA and CLA hosted our biannual trip to Bismarck. On Thursday we toured the ND Crime Lab and the ND State Penitentiary, and ended the day with a mixer hosted by NDAJ.

Friday morning we had the opportunity to meet with the Burleigh County States Attorneys Office, the United States Attorneys Office, and United States District Court Judge Daniel Traynor. During these visits we were able to watch a review hearing in state court and a revocation hearing in federal court.

In the afternoon we attended a lunch at Crowley-Fleck, and ended the day at the Capital with the Attorney General, Drew Wrigley, the Governor, Kelly Armstrong, the first lady, Kjersti Armstrong, and General Counsel, Christopher Joseph. We even ran into ND congresswoman, Julie Fedorchak.
