LWC and Ohnstad Twichell are hosting a social hour, and we are so excited for you to join us! Our final general meeting of the year is next week! 😱

On Tuesday, April 11th @ 12:10 p.m. in Room 334, LWC will host “De-Mystifying the Bar Exam”. This presentation will be a panel talk on the realities of taking the bar exam. Panelists include Katie Winbauer and Haylee Borgen, moderated by Professor Ariana Meyers. Lunch will be provided. We hope to see you there!

This spring we are supporting the Grand Forks Community Violence Intervention Center 🌸

Swing by LWC’s donation box outside of the Office of Student Life to pick up a donation card. Once that item is filled, bring that item back to our donation box by this Friday, March 31st, 2023. If your item is too large, please contact Haley Finch ([email protected]).

If you would like to make a monetary donation, you may do so via Venmo (-2023) or submit a check or cash to LWC’s Treasurer, Adley Swanson ([email protected]). Any amount is appreciated. Money received will be directly donated to CVIC.

❕Attention members❕be sure to attend this month’s general meeting to hear from our nominees for the incoming board! If you are running for a position you MUST either attend the meeting to provide a brief description OR (if you cannot attend in person) send your description to [email protected] before the meeting. Our elections for next year’s board will open at 5 p.m. this Tuesday.

After hearing from the nominees, the current LWC board will have an open Q&A for everyone to ask questions about internship experiences, choosing classes, networking, and all things law school. Pizza lunch will be provided! See you on Tuesday in Room 334 😊

This year’s Helen Hamilton Day symposium theme was “Trailblazing Women.” There were three panels highlighting trailblazers in the boardroom, in the judiciary, and in public office. Thank you to our panelists who shared inspirational stories about personal growth and overcoming obstacles, as well as tools for empowering one another and advancing the position of women in society.
