Thank You for 20 Years!

Dear friends, colleagues and valued clients

It's hard to believe, but today marks 20 years since I started practicing law here in Nepal. This wouldn't have been possible without all of you!

I would like to thank all the clients for trusting me with your legal problems. It's meant the world to me to help you out. I'm equally grateful to all the seniors, contemporary and junior colleagues for their great support through legal debate, advice and cooperation. You made me want to be a better lawyer myself.

Thanks for always believing in me, even when I had to work late. You're the best!

Looking back, I'm so proud of what we've accomplished together. We've tackled tough legal issues, won cases, and gotten through difficult times. Your support has always been there for me.

I'm excited to see what the next chapter holds! I'm still committed to serving the Nepali legal community, doing the right thing, and fighting for justice for everyone.

नेपालको विडम्बना । सरकारका मन्त्रि टेलिफोन रेकर्ड सुरक्षित छ भन्छन् । सर्वोच्च अदालतले उहिल्यै यस्तो रेकर्ड अनुसन्धान अधिकारीले समेत कानुन बमोजिम मात्र लिनु सक्न् भनि सकेको छ । यस्तो अवस्थामा मन्त्रि डि.पी. अर्याललाई पदमा बसिराख्न नैतिकताले पनि दिदैन । गंभीर संवैधानिक विचलन हो ।

बाबुराम अर्याल समेत वि. नेपाल सरकार समेत (निर्णय नं. ९७४०/ फैसला मिति २०७२/१०/२१) मा भनिएको छ, "संकटकालीन अवस्था परी वा राष्ट्रिय सुरक्षाको कारणले खबर आदान प्रदानमा रोक लगाउनुपर्ने भएमा वा त्यस्तो खबर आदानप्रदान गर्ने निकायमा वा प्रणालीमा नियन्त्रण गर्नुपर्ने भएमा मात्र त्यस्तो निश्चित प्रक्रियाको अधीनमा रही अधिकार प्रयोग गर्न सकिन्छ, कल डिटेल रिपोर्ट र एस.एम.एस लिने र हेर्न मिल्ने गर्न सकिँदैन अपराध अनुसन्धानको नाममा संकित व्यक्तिको गतिविधि हेर्ने नाममा सबैंको गतिविधि र गोपनीयता उदाङ्गो बनाउनु पनि हुँदैन । त्यसकारण अनाधिकृतरूपमा लिइएको उक्त कलफोन तथा एस.एम.एस. डिटेल सदैव सुरक्षा निकायले राखिरहनु अनुपयुक्त र गैरकानूनी देखिन आउने ।"

प्रा.डा. किलनाम चनले आजको ईन्टरनेटलाई पहिलो पटक अमेरिका भन्दा बाहिर स्थापना गरेका थिए । उनको योगदानले दक्षिण कोरियालाई ईन्टरनेट प्रयोग गर्ने संसारकै दोस्रो मुलुक बनेको थियो । जापानमा जन्मेका यी कोरियाली इन्टरनेट वैज्ञानिक भोली डिसेम्बर ९ मा होटल भिभान्ता, ललितपुरमा डिजिटल फ्रिडम कोअलिसनको आयोजना तथा अन्य सरोकारवाला साझेदारको पहलमा हुने डिजिटल फ्रिडम समिट २०२३ को किनोट स्पीकरको रुपमा रहनु हुनेछ ।
