Grief can be lonely. Days like Father’s Day make it lonelier.

Adam came down to our wind phone this week to support his friend , who lost his dad three years ago. We asked him how to best support a grieving friend.

And it all boils down to – show up. Let them know you’re thinking of them.

If a friend of yours is grieving this Father’s Day, check in on them.

“To be honest Father’s Day is just one of the worst days of the year…”

Thanks to for sharing his experience 💜

Today Octopus Legacy has set up London’s first wind phone, ahead of Father’s Day this weekend. Here’s talking about his experience.

A wind phone is a disconnected phone. Somewhere to go and speak to someone who has died.

For people whose dads are no longer here, and are struggling with the day and the run-up to it, the phone offers somewhere to go. A space to talk to your dad, share the milestones he’s missed, or say the things that were left unsaid.

It’s here until 7pm today, if you want to give the phone a visit.
