Two key conservation experiences gorilla habituation and gorilla trekking play an important role in their protection and coexistence.

Gorilla habituation gradually introduces wild gorilla families to human presence for research and conservation, while gorilla trekking allows visitors to observe habituated groups in their natural habitat under strict protection guidelines.
