You'd think most US military members would know better than to be on TikTok at all given that platform's security concerns, and sure, probably not too bright of a Navy Lieutenant Commander to post this... but still! A court-martial?! That's quite extreme, especially when this wasn't involving extremism/rascism/incitement/etc. You can see the video for yourself. From the Navy times: "The case also offers a glimpse into the murky legality involved in court-martialing service members for social media posts, and how no single charge in the UCMJ governs such infractions, leaving commanders across the services to apply the law as they and their legal staffs see fit." Fascinating case shining a light on some serious issues with the military justice system.

Service member social media posts are a gray area for the military justice system, attorneys say.

Driver arrested near Tacoma with BAC nearly *4x the legal limit*! 😳 PLEASE everyone — be safe this President’s Day weekend and if you’re drinking or partying, plan ahead how you’re getting home safely before you leave for the evening. But if someone you know has a run-in with the law, I’m here to help.

A trooper responded to reports of an erratic driver on I-5 near Tacoma on Saturday night, Feb. 17.
