Volunteers have been a vital part of our legal aid programs since Day One (remember TPCBA Volunteer Legal Services?) and remain at the heart of our new Legal Access Program, offering you (attorneys, LLLT's, paralegals) multiple opportunities and a variety of choices to volunteer in your area of practice, or learn something new and grow while helping our community!
Advantages -- many. CLE credit, training, support, refreshments....and at our in-person clinics and events, the collegiality of working with your fellow volunteers. We have day and evening times available for regular clinics and a series of one-off larger events happening this fall in areas where we see a great deal of need.

NEXT ONE-DAY EVENT COMING UP OCTOBER 16th -- Vacation of Criminal Records Clinic. Help clients move on from old criminal convictions!
A criminal record can impact people for a long time after their sentence is resolved. Many people with criminal records face barriers to employment, housing and overall stability due to their convictions. Attorneys at this clinic will assist clients with filing a petition to vacate their record, a straightforward and simple process with a standard petition. Tacomaprobono will assist with training beforehand if needed, pulling clients background checks and preparing the petitions, so volunteer attorneys can just focus on high impact work with clients.
