Section 8 provides critical support to enable families to afford housing. As families' incomes rise, the level of support is reduced. Do you think deadlines should be imposed to force families off the program, regardless of whether they can afford market rate rents on their own?

The rule would allow housing agencies and landlords to impose such requirements "to encourage self-sufficiency." Critics say most who can work already do, but their wages are low.

I joined Allgire GC's "Spring Harvest" this morning. After packing up bags of fruits and vegetables from 8-10 a.m. I delivered 105 bags to tenants at 2 affordable complexes in San Diego. Thanks for organizing such a great event. Allgire knows how to assemble a crew and get a job done!
