Yesterday evening, the Onsite Pro Development and Scholefield Construction Law teams joined NECA San Diego’s General Membership Meeting- and this one was a little different than usual.

Along with the meeting, associate members had the opportunity to host booths and give short presentations about what they do and who they serve.

Pam Scholefield presented on behalf of both Scholefield Construction Law and OnSite Pro Development, sharing OPD’s passion for helping subcontractors strengthen their understanding, confidence, and long-term success through practical training and education.

With Scholefield, P.C. - Construction Law being the second longest-standing associate member of NECA San Diego among the presenting companies, there was plenty of good-natured ribbing directed Pam’s way throughout the evening- which added to the fun atmosphere of the event.

One of the best parts of events like these is the opportunity to connect with both familiar and new faces across the industry, have meaningful conversations, and share a few laughs along the way.

Between the informative presentations, good food, and great conversations, it was a great evening all around.

Thank you to NECA San Diego for hosting another great event!

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the men and women who gave everything in service to this country.

To the families who carry their memory, and to all who have served, thank you.

In an industry built on hard work, teamwork, and showing up every single day, we have a deep respect for what that kind of dedication truly means. The people we honor today showed it in the most profound way possible.

From everyone at OnSite Pro Development, we hope you have a safe and meaningful holiday weekend. Take a moment to reflect, connect with the people you love, and remember those who made it possible.

A little clarity can save a lot of time

Being busy and being productive aren’t always the same thing.

It’s easy to spend the entire day reacting:
emails, calls, schedule changes, problems, meetings.

Sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t the workload.
It’s staying organized enough to keep moving forward efficiently.

What's the one thing you do to stay focused when the day starts pulling you in every direction?

🎯 Great time at AGC San Diego’s Bags and Brew Meet Your GC Co****le Tournament yesterday!

The Onsite Pro Development team had a blast catching up with everyone and connecting with so many great people across the industry.

Between the networking, friendly competition, the return of the chili, make-your-own tri-tip and chicken tacos, and of course, the ice cream co-sponsored by Onsite Pro Development, Scholefield Construction Law, and DA Whitacre Construction, Inc🍦, the evening flew by.

As the tournament moved closer to the finals, the competition got intense- congratulations to all of the winners and teams that competed!

Thank you to AGC San Diego and everyone involved in putting together another great event supporting students in the SDSU Construction Management Program.

Already looking forward to next year’s tournament!

“Details create the big picture.”
- Sanford I. Weill

In construction, the small things can often have a big impact on how a project turns out.

The conversations early on.
The expectations that get set.
The details that either get clarified… or don’t.

It all adds up.

What gets addressed early tends to stay manageable.
What gets overlooked rarely does.

🍷 Great evening at Women in Glass

Amber Arras with Onsite Pro Development had a great opportunity to connect with so many talented and driven women at yesterday’s Women In Glass event!

Dr. Thais Alves’ interactive “numbers game” was a powerful reminder of how critical direction, organization, and collaboration are to success- and how quickly things can break down without them.

The exercise highlighted challenges we all recognize from real projects, and reinforced just how important strong communication and coordination are, both in the field and in the office.

Great food, refreshing wine, and even better conversation made for an energizing and motivating evening.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to connect, learn, and continue building strong relationships within the industry.

🍷 Looking forward to connecting at Women in Glass this week!

Amber Arras with Onsite Pro Development will be attending the upcoming Women in Glass event:
Flow, Quality & Collaboration: A Lean Construction Simulation with Dr. Thais Alves.

Co-sponsored by CRL and California Glass Association, this event brings together professionals across the glass and construction industries for an evening focused on connection, collaboration, and learning.

With a hands-on simulation led by Dr. Thais Alves, attendees will explore real-world concepts around production systems, quality control, and team coordination- with practical takeaways that apply both in the field and in the office.

If you’re planning to attend, we’d love to connect.

"Don't watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going."
- Sam Levenson

In construction, the clock is always ticking.

Deadlines. Delays. Submittal windows. Notice requirements.

It can feel like the project is constantly running out of time- and so are you.

But the professionals who protect their projects aren't the ones just watching the clock.

They're the ones who learned the contract, trained their teams, stay focused, and move forward even when things get difficult.

When the clock starts running, they're already moving.

Keep going. Because in this industry, momentum matters.

💡 Turning a powerful resource into practical tools with NECA last week!

Pam Scholefield with Onsite Pro Development had the opportunity to lead a workshop focused on helping contractors maximize financial success using the NECA Subcontractor Contract & Collections Handbook.

The goal was simple- take a resource many National Electrical Contractors Association - NECA members already have and make it easier to understand and apply.

Throughout the session, Pam walked through key concepts in the handbook, breaking them down into practical, real-world insights so attendees could clearly see how the information applies to their projects, contracts, and payment strategies.

Because having the right tools is one thing.
Knowing how to use them effectively is what makes the difference.

We appreciate the opportunity to work with NECA San Diego and connect with professionals focused on strengthening their approach to contracts and collections.

Deadlines, Distractions, and Discipline: Why Exercise Changes the Game

Long days behind a desk or constant problem-solving on the job can take a bigger toll than most people realize. Over time, it impacts more than just your physical health- it affects your focus, energy, decision-making, and confidence.

It’s easy to feel “too busy” to exercise. But in reality, skipping it may be making your work harder.
