If you live here and you haven't been to Pike Place in a while — go this weekend. There's something about an early morning at the market before the crowds hit that just resets everything. Fresh flowers, local seafood straight off the boats, incredible baked goods, and the energy of a place that's been doing this since 1907. Pure Seattle. 🌸🐟🥐

From strawberry fields to some of the most sought-after real estate in the entire country — Bellevue has had quite the journey. 🍓 Before the tech campuses and luxury high-rises, Bellevue's economy was built almost entirely by Japanese American farming families who cultivated strawberries across what is now one of the most expensive zip codes in Washington. Many of those same families were forced from their land during WWII internment — a complicated and important chapter of Eastside history worth knowing. The land was never quite the same after.

I've had people ask me what there is to do on the Eastside on a Friday night and honestly Bake's Place is my go-to answer every time. Covered heated patio (so yes, even in the rain), live jazz on weekends, a chef-driven menu, and 320+ whiskies to work through. It's one of those places you end up staying way longer than you planned. 🥃🎶

PNW Trivia | Pacific Northwest

If you’ve ever dipped your toes into Lake Washington, you might have been surprised.

Even though we’re known for cooler weather, our lakes warm up more than most people expect during the summer months — especially after a stretch of sunny days.

Answer: Around 65–75°F

Not tropical… but definitely refreshing and perfect for a summer swim.

Did you get it? 🎸 Jimi Hendrix — one of the most iconic musicians in history — was born right here in the Pacific Northwest. He grew up in Seattle's Central District and is buried at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, just minutes from where I work every day. His memorial is genuinely worth a visit — people come from all over the world to pay their respects. Not a bad piece of neighborhood history to have in your backyard. 🌿

If a friend told you there was a James Beard Award–winning restaurant hiding in a quiet Kirkland neighborhood, you'd go, right? That's Cafe Juanita — and the handmade Northern Italian tasting menu built around local PNW ingredients is the kind of dinner that makes you want to move to Kirkland just to be closer to it. 🍝

🎉 Big congratulations to my buyers on their new home in Covington’s Winterwood Neighborhood!

With the right strategy and timing, we were able to secure this one $40K under the original list price—a huge win in today’s market.

Winterwood is such a great community, and I’m so happy we found the right fit here.

Thinking about buying? I’d love to help you navigate the process and find the right opportunity when it comes up.

Real Estate Trivia | Pacific Northwest

If you’ve toured homes around Seattle, you’ve probably noticed something a little different — a lot of garages aren’t attached to the house.

There’s actually a reason for that, and it goes back to how many neighborhoods here were originally planned.

👇
👇
👇

Answer: Alley access

Many older neighborhoods were designed with rear alleys for vehicles, deliveries, and utilities — which kept garages in the back and allowed the front of the home to stay more pedestrian-friendly and visually appealing.

It’s one of those small details that gives these neighborhoods their charm.

Real Estate Trivia | Pacific Northwest

When the sun finally comes out in the Pacific Northwest, the way we use our homes completely changes.

Spaces that might get overlooked during the rainy months suddenly become some of the most used and appreciated areas of the home.

👇
👇
👇

Answer: Outdoor living space

Decks, patios, and outdoor areas quickly turn into gathering spaces, dining spots, and places to unwind — making them one of the most valuable features during the summer months.
