Last week Tresi Moore Weeks spoke on “Child Support Special Needs Trusts” at the UT CLE Special Needs Trust conference. Did you know that child support does not have to end at age 18 for a child with permanent disabilities? Child support can be ordered for the lifetime of the disabled child, BUT, support paid for an adult child with disabilities should be paid into a special needs trust so that the adult child does not lose eligibility for SSI and Medicaid.

Our founder, Tresi Weeks, has been invited to present at this year’s UTCLE Special Needs Trusts Conference — a statewide program for attorneys focused on advanced special needs and public-benefits planning.

Advocating for families with disabilities is a core part of our practice, and Tresi is honored to share what she has learned with other professionals across Texas.
