๐ 4th of July Americana in the Heartland
My second segment of American Dream TV: Selling Kansas City just dropped, and this one is packed with small-town charm, KC history, and all the nostalgic magic of summertime in the Midwest.
From historic fireworks tents to small-town parades, this segment, "Fourth of July Americana: From Historic Fireworks Stands to Main Street Magic", brings the spirit of the heart of America to life.
๐In this segment, I started at Honest John's Fireworks in Riverside, Missouri. Itโs a Kansas City staple thatโs been going strong since 1944. Amy Beth Ritter, the current owner, got her start working at the tent as a teenager for the original founder, John Blogin. Today, sheโs the one keeping this iconic stand alive every summer and honoring the traditions she learned firsthand.
Then I made my way to Parkville, Missouri, where the 4th of July celebration feels like something out of a storybook. Patriotic parades, charming streets, and fireworks over the river... it doesnโt get more classic than that.
This is the kind of hometown pride that makes the Midwest feel like home. I'm proud to help share it with a national audience.
