The Daily Business Review featured Co-Managing Partner Aaron Davis in an article examining the first lawsuit filed following the recent Amazon cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport.

Aaron weighed in on the decision to file litigation while the crash investigation remains underway, questioning the rush to file before the full details surrounding the crash are known and offering his perspective on the strategic considerations that may influence such an early filing.

Drawing on his experience as part of the legal team that secured the landmark $1 billion settlement for victims of the 2021 Champlain Towers collapse, Aaron also addressed the potential magnitude of the litigation.

"I would want to know more information," Aaron said, "But the fact that we're even engaging in that concept speaks to the magnitude of the loss."

As the popularity of GLP-1 medications continues to grow, increased scrutiny surrounding compounded versions of drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound is raising important questions about consumer safety and potential liability.

A recent federal appeals court ruling upheld the FDA’s decision to remove semaglutide and tirzepatide injections from its drug-shortage list, reinforcing restrictions on compounded copies. The FDA has also raised concerns involving compounded GLP-1s, including dosing errors, fraudulent labeling and potentially misleading marketing.

As the regulatory landscape evolves, related litigation could bring greater attention to where responsibility may fall when consumers are harmed. This may include prescribing providers, telehealth companies, compounding pharmacies and other parties involved in providing these medications.

We are excited to announce that Davis Goldman has relocated its Miami office to the iconic One Biscayne Tower in the heart of Downtown Miami.

Our new 3,746-square-foot office brings our team closer to Miami’s courts and business community. The new space also gives our attorneys more opportunities to collaborate, develop strategies and serve our clients as the firm continues to grow.

The Daily Business Review recently featured our move and shared insights from Aaron Davis, co-managing partner of Davis Goldman, about the strategy behind our new office.
