Today we celebrate with a client who has been denied justice for far too long! How can we help you?

Did you know that you may not be limited to the policy limits in your case? O.C.G.A. § 9-11-67.1 allows you to recover the total amount of losses caused by an insured instead of the limited amount afforded by your coverage and other coverage that may be available. But only if you have the right attorney – someone who focuses on the details and has the persistence needed to pursue victory for you.

Last week we secured a $795,000 verdict in Jones County against a Defendant who has spent more than six (6) years refusing to accept responsibility for this accident and an insurance company who refused to pay their policy limits when demanded.

Almost five (5) years ago, we issued a demand for said Defendant’s $100,000 policy limits, based on approximately $171,000 in current special damages with ongoing treatment and photographic evidence that the Defendant was at fault for the accident. In response, the insurance company only offered $23,000. As a result, we withdrew the demand and filed suit. For years afterward they put pressure on our client to accept the $100,000 coverage limits they eventually offered as if it was a gift, even threatening him with attorneys’ fees and expenses. But we refused to be moved – we knew the value of the case and the importance of standing firmly on the side of what was right and just. And thankfully last week a Jones County Jury agreed and awarded a verdict of $795,000.
