Today, we’re featuring our firm’s founder, Michael Mayo.

Michael Mayo devotes his practice to helping those harmed by the negligence of others. He has handled catastrophic cases against hospitals, commercial trucking companies, financial institutions, insurance companies, and medical groups.

After receiving his undergraduate education at Mercer University, Michael accepted Mercer’s offer to attend law school as a George W. Woodruff Scholar, which was (and remains) the law school’s top scholarship.

He began his legal career as a criminal defense and business litigation attorney and gained valuable experience in the courtroom. He transitioned to civil practice with Martin Snow, LLP in Macon before co-founding Mayo | Hill in 2018. Now, as the founder of The Mayo Firm, Michael and his team work diligently to represent their clients - whether through their medical malpractice, personal injury, business litigation, or real estate law needs.

Michael Mayo personally handles his cases at all levels of the courts - successfully representing clients at the trial court level before achieving lasting victory in the Court of Appeals of Georgia and the Supreme Court of Georgia. He is dedicated, hardworking, and committed to his clients.

Outside of work, you will find Michael spending time with his wife Dana and their three children. Michael and Dana own The Barre Dance Studios here in Macon, and they spend much of their time supporting their daughters and son in their extracurricular activities.
