Every Tuesday evening in Allen County, volunteer attorneys step away from demanding schedules and busy caseloads to serve the community in a different way — by answering phones for the Allen County Indiana Bar Association’s Legal Line program.
Among the law firms that have consistently demonstrated a commitment to this important public service is Beckman Lawson, LLP. Through the dedicated efforts of Craig Patterson, Megan Torres, David Mustard, Caleb Patterson, and Caroline Lippie Eakins, the firm has become a reliable presence in helping local residents access free legal guidance when they need it most.
The Legal Line program, operated by the Allen County Bar Association, provides members of the public with an opportunity to speak directly with volunteer attorneys about legal questions at no cost. Whether callers are dealing with family matters, landlord-tenant disputes, consumer concerns, or uncertainty about legal procedures, Legal Line offers a starting point — and often a sense of relief.
That service depends entirely on attorneys willing to volunteer their time. For the attorneys at Beckman Lawson, participation in Legal Line reflects a broader commitment to community service and access to justice – helping community members who may otherwise have nowhere to turn for trusted legal guidance.
While their daily practices involve complex legal matters and demanding professional responsibilities, the attorneys at Beckman Lawson continue to dedicate personal time to this important community service, bringing professionalism, patience, and compassion to every Legal Line conversation.
