So Bush appointee, former U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald from the Northern District of Illinois is Comey’s private lawyer? Fitzgerald’s trial skills and meticulous preparations are legendary.

Halligan better just sit at the table and let her most experienced lawyer handle this one. At least it will be a fair fight. But my money is on Fitzgerald. He once did a three hour cross in the Blago trial without notes.

I am very disappointed in the reboot of Law and Order, S23 E2. Introduction of evidence not disclosed before trial—absolutely ridiculous, doesn’t happen, EVER. I give Dick Wolfe a pass on saving time by not showing presentation to opposing counsel, permission to approach, etc. But there are no “Perry Mason” moments in a modern trial.😡

This automatic transfer policy was in place in my home state of New York when I was applying to colleges in 1975. Granted, it was all one state higher education system (SUNY) but the principal is the same--a path forward for students who for reasons of money, undecided career choice, local family commitments, or the need for a longer academic on-ramp to in order to academically succeed at the four-year school.

So much for Rahm's goal of being the most bicycle friendly city in America. And since when were bikes permitted on sidewalks in Chicago? It might be in the Chicago Municipal Code, but it is not enforced that way.

The court ruled that unless pavement markings or signs are present, cyclists are merely "permitted" users of a road, not "intended" users.
