Some recognition we're proud to share. Founder Jonathan Merel is featured in this weekend's edition of The North Shore Weekend, in a profile by Bill McLean.

The piece traces Jonathan's path from a Highland Park kid (who once spent fifth grade building a cardboard fort around his desk) to founding Merel Family Law in 2009, in the middle of a recession, on a simple idea: treat your people well and tell clients the truth, even when it is hard to hear.

It also comes with an original caricature by The New York Times and The New Yorker regular, Barry Blitt! Jonathan's verdict on the portrait? "I'm honored. Though I'm not sure I deserve the New Yorker treatment."
