As we get older, so do our parents. As a Senior Real Estate Specialist I often find myself to be the first person in the room to bring up things like finances, livings trust, the importance of having a Power of Attorney designated in the family.

It's not just a good topic. It's critical.
It is the difference between a son or daughter, sister or friend being able to communicate with banks, electric companies or doctors when it's needed most. Preventing lengthy and expensive probate is just the beginning.

This video caught my eye so we thought that we would share it with you to open up a conversation on where to get started, and although we encourage you to consult an attorney and financial advisor, we are here to help you figure what questions to ask.

The ability to support, empower, learn from and mentor my colleagues is a wonderful experience in the dynamic and always changing world of real estate.

"Women’s Council exists because for the first 20 years of its existence, women were barred admission from many local REALTOR® associations, so a separate group was created, and in turn, a “women’s division” was formed at the Annual Convention in Milwaukee in November 1938 by thirty-seven women from 9 states." - today there are over 1,200 chapters throughout the country and for me it's a cause worthy of supporting for years to come.
