Schaumburg's Community Recycling event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 25 at Wintrust Field, 1999 Springinsguth Rd. Safely dispose of old electronics, small appliances, batteries, lightbulbs and more. Paint and larger electronics recycling is available for a fee. Document destruction will also be available. Correction note: The spring 2026 Cracker Barrel listed household chemicals as a recyclable item. Household chemicals will not be accepted at this event.

Great way to get rid of old paint cans!

The Village’s Health & Human Services Environmental Health Division is hosting a FREE Paint Collection Event on Tuesday, April 14, from 4–6 p.m. at the Public Works Building, 222 N. Ridge Ave. We all have those half-empty paint cans sitting in the garage collecting dust—now’s your chance to safely dispose of unused latex paint.
