One of downtown Palatine’s most recognizable spots, Durty Nellie’s, is getting ready for a new chapter! 👀

After more than two decades in the community, the iconic restaurant and live music venue is set to make way for Big Grove Brewery, bringing a fresh new concept to downtown Palatine.

And here’s something interesting: Big Grove says most of its business happens before 10 p.m., signaling a different vibe for this downtown destination!

With plans approved and a target opening by the end of 2027, this could be a major change for Palatine’s downtown dining, entertainment, and social scene.

If you grew up around Arlington Heights, you might remember Burger Baron. 👀🍔

The family-owned burger spot that once had a location on Golf Road in Arlington Heights is making a comeback — this time in Palatine!

And they’re bringing plenty of familiar favorites:

What makes this one extra interesting? Burger Baron’s Arlington Heights location closed in 2023, so for longtime Northwest suburban residents, this feels like a little piece of local history coming back. ❤️

The new Palatine location is expected to be smaller than the former Arlington Heights restaurant, and while there isn’t an exact opening date yet, they’re currently anticipating fall/winter 2026.
