Patients will now be able to request a review of their care, the report recommends.

Young mum Libby suffered numerous other injuries in the collision which happened in Nottinghamshire just after Christmas.

She remains in hospital five months on.

Georgie Wilson, the expert serious injury lawyer supporting Libby and her loved ones, says: “Through our work we often see how those who have suffered a traumatic brain injury are left requiring specialist support long after initial medical treatment and how access to such rehab is key in maximising their recovery.”

Our lawyers have been instructed following the death of a British baby and two children left with serious complications after falling ill while staying at the same hotel in Hurghada, Egypt.

All three children were diagnosed with E. coli, which went on to develop into Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, a rare but severe condition that can cause significant, lifelong kidney damage and, in some cases, can be fatal.

Jatinder Paul, one of our experts who represents those affected by serious illness abroad and is supporting the families, said: “While every case is serious, those involving children are always especially disturbing. The fact these incidents have occurred at the same Egyptian hotel is a major cause for concern.

“While nothing can undo the ordeal these families have suffered, our focus is now on helping to provide them with the answers they deserve and either the specialist support they require to come to terms with their loss or the specialist rehabilitation two of these children now need.”
