We had an incredible time at the Hamilton Health Sciences Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation in Acquired Brain Injury Conference, where we were proud to attend as a sponsor alongside so many dedicated professionals in the field.

The event brought together physicians, psychologists, rehabilitation specialists, community agencies, insurers, legal representatives, and advocates, all focused on advancing care and outcomes for individuals living with acquired brain injuries.

Thank you to the organizers and participants for fostering such meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in neurobehavioural rehabilitation.

Undisclosed cameras in operating rooms, consultation rooms, and recovery areas. Ontario court has now awarded $22.5 million to approximately 7,000 patients recorded without their consent.

The Court found Dr. Martin Jugenburg ("Dr. 6ix") liable for negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, and intrusion upon seclusion following a common issues trial held in late 2025.

Congratulations to our partner, Paul Miller and his team, including Victoria Yang and Ryan Elizabeth Readshaw, as well as our co-counsels Sotos LLP (Margaret Waddell & Karine Bédard) and Beyond Law LLP (Kate Mazzucco & Josh Nisker) on this significant result and their work on behalf of the plaintiff class.

Last week, our lawyers traded case files for cutting boards as they came together for a local retreat and finished off the day with the annual lawyers-and-spouses dinner. This year, instead of sitting down at a restaurant, they created their own seven course meal! Learning new cooking techniques an recipes, and working in teams created a great team-building experience.

In a profession where we are focused every day on complex cases, deadlines, and advocating for clients through difficult moments, taking time to step away from the day-to-day and connect with one another was incredibly valuable.
