Today, she shared this exciting adventure with a very special eight-year-old, Mbokelecha Baruani, escorting him to Spaght Science and Communications Magnet. Thanks to the kindness of Captain Lance Diffenbaugh and the Wichita Fire Department, this morning became an unforgettable experience for Mbokelecha and Lynn!

Ward Law Associate Attorney Cynthia J. Zaczyk recently had the honor of serving as a scoring judge in all four trial rounds at the prestigious 2023-2024 Kansas High School Mock Trial Competition held at the Sedgwick County Courthouse on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

It was a remarkable event, with Manhattan High School securing 3rd place and Northeast Magnet High School clinching both 1st and 2nd place! Cynthia was deeply impressed by the dedication and talent displayed by all the participating students.

Reflecting on her own experience competing in Mock Trial during high school, Cynthia shared, "Having competed in Mock Trial in high school myself, I know firsthand the amount of work that goes into this competition. It is just as much work as we put into the actual cases we try as attorneys. What I didn’t realize is how much work the competition judges put into evaluating the performance of the students. I am blown away by the professionalism and passion these students put into the day. If any one of them makes it to the practice of law, our industry will be all the better for it."

We couldn't agree more with Cynthia's sentiments! The dedication and passion displayed by these young aspiring legal minds are truly inspiring. We have no doubt that they will make a significant impact on the future of our industry.
