Hutton & Hutton celebrates Blake Shuart’s term as President of the Federal Bar Association Chapter for the Districts of Kansas & Western Missouri for 2024-2025, which comes to an end this month. The Federal Bar Association’s mission is to strengthen the federal legal system and administration of justice by serving the interests and the needs of the federal practitioner, both public and private, the federal judiciary and the public they serve. Over the past year, the FBA has hosted several continuing legal education events involving U.S. District Court and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals judges, continued to publish its Civil Jury Verdict Reporter and sponsored many other social events, a mentorship program for law students and other important programs. Most recently, on September 17 the Kansas & Western Missouri chapter celebrated Constitution Day with the annual reading of the U.S. Constitution at the U.S. District Courthouse in Wichita. Many schoolchildren, judges, lawyers, elected officials and members of the public participated in the annual reading. At this event, Blake was honored with an award by the chapter’s incoming President, U.S. Magistrate Judge Gwynne Birzer of the District of Kansas. Last weekend, Blake attended the Federal Bar Association’s Annual Meeting and Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he received another honor – the 2025 Outstanding Chapter Leader Award – for his work over the past year. We are proud to support the Federal Bar Association!
