The role of the Medical Director. Seemingly one of the most ambiguous positions to define in the world of medical aesthetics. Why? Well, no shocker here, but states vary in their requirements quite a bit. Who can serve, what are the administrative and clinical duties, how often must they be on site...the questions go on and on. In this article, we dive into defining this role and putting some basic parameters around what is expected of both the Medical Director and the medspas and aesthetics practices they serve. Big kudos to Yvonne at Medical Aesthetic Art Institute for forcing us to write this piece (though she doesn't really know it!).

In this article, we discuss why DSO/MSO fee arrangements can be so difficult to calculate and present a few common methods of arriving at a functional figure.
