✨ Celebrating excellence, leadership, and impact at this year’s Women of Wonder Award Ceremony ✨

It was an honor to recognize Judge Tanya Jones-Bosier and LaShanta Harris as this year’s Women of Wonder honorees. Both women exemplify excellence, leadership, and service in their respective fields.
We appreciate their continued commitment to uplifting the next generation of women and the impact they make through their leadership, service, and example.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this year’s Women of Wonder celebration! 💜✨

🌟 May Member of the Month 🌟

Join us in celebrating our May Member of the Month, Asja Towns 💜

Asja Towns is thrilled to join the GWAC community and the broader DC legal community. She is a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and relocated to Washington, DC in 2025 to begin her work at the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, where she focuses on racial justice issues, particularly in the education space.

Amid these transitions, Asja remains grounded in service and community. She joins GWAC to be part of a village of other women lawyers building connection, support, and shared purpose both within and beyond our professions.

As someone new to GWAC, Ms. Towns has embraced every opportunity for engagement and service. She immediately jumped in and became actively involved, participating in both our Food & Friends community service event, where we delivered groceries to vulnerable individuals, including the sick and elderly, and our National Arboretum event, where we assisted community members with transporting plants to their vehicles. She also recently joined the GWAC Financial Book Club.

In her free time, Asja enjoys staying active, baking, reading, and Substack-ing!

Congratulations, Asja! We are so proud to recognize and celebrate you this month.
