Violent road rage incidents nationwide have increased by more than 400% in the past decade. We’ve seen this right here in Oklahoma, from shootings on Tulsa highways to vehicles forced off bridges.

Here’s the Truth: Road rage is contagious. When someone drives aggressively toward you, you’re more likely to respond the same way to someone else. But we can break this cycle together.

How to Stay Safe on Oklahoma Roads:
1. Take a deep breath before reacting
2. Don’t engage with aggressive drivers. This includes no eye contact, no gestures
3. Give yourself extra time, especially during rush hour
4. Use turn signals and practice courtesy
5. If threatened, call 911 and drive to a public place

MAY IS MOTORCYCLE AWARENESS MONTH. To every motorcyclist sharing the road: You have the SAME rights as everyone else. But the reality is that you’re more vulnerable when drivers fail to see you, fail to yield, or misjudge your speed.

If you’ve been in a motorcycle accident, here’s what you MUST do:

✅ Get medical attention immediately (even if you feel okay)
✅ Document EVERYTHING—photos of the scene, your bike, injuries
✅ Get witness contact information
✅ DON’T give recorded statements to insurance companies before talking with an attorney
