HMB Law Intern?? No! She’s family. We are in the tough position of having to let her go back to Carolina to finish her Senior year of college. But we know we will see her again soon! We cannot wait to welcome her to the practice of law someday. Thank you for being the best and helping our law firm run smoothly. I would say we will miss you, but we are sending you back to school with your laptop and a phone. No down time!!! We love you!

Jarrod Ownbey of the Pawleys Island area won the July 8 special election for the vacant Georgetown County school board seat. He will represent District 6.

Congratulations, Ken!

Congratulations to Georgetown County Auditor Ken Baker, who began his second 4-year term today. He took the oath of office this evening during a small, family ceremony in his office. The oath was administered by his mother, the Rev. Sherry Minatra. His wife, Brandy, was by his side, along with their children Brandon, Brayden, Mason, Brody and Hayden. To make it a true family affair, the family's dog, Baylor, was also in attendance.
