My client was denied parole today. It felt like it didn’t matter how much he had learned from his mistakes, how many programs he had successfully completed while incarcerated, or how much his family loved and supported him on the outside. It breaks my heart seeing the hope leave their body when they get the notice of denial. Hurts even more to have to pass that message to the family who are waiting on pins and needles to hear the result. Told my client to keep his head up and keep pushing. The fight continues 🦅

It was a humbling experience but it also gave me hope that there are likeminded people out there who are willing to fight for those that need a voice when facing the government.
