Each year, our firm awards one $10,000 scholarship to a child of an Ironworkers Local 396 member to aid in furthering their education. Since the inception of the program in 2003, a total of $240,000 in scholarships have been awarded!

: Did you know that ginger beer and snails don't mix? In the landmark 1932 case Donoghue v. Stevenson in Great Britain, a woman named Mrs. Donoghue consumed a ginger beer that contained a decomposed snail and caused her to become ill.

The case set a standard for manufacturer negligence. The manufacturer, Mr. Stevenson, was found liable for the tainted product. This case remains one of the earliest and most influential in shaping the standards for consumer safety and manufacturer responsibility.
