|TODAY| Join Straker Bar Association and our fellow affinity bar associations for an evening dedicated to connection, community, and the collective strength of Michigan’s legal community.

The 2026 Affinity Bar Membership Roundup brings attorneys, judges, law students, and legal professionals together across organizations and generations to reconnect with colleagues, build new relationships, and strengthen the professional community we share.

This year, we are especially proud to honor our past presidents, recognize members of our judiciary, celebrate our February bar passers, and warmly welcome all 1Ls beginning their journey into the profession.

Whether you are a longtime member, newly admitted attorney, law student, or simply looking to become more connected to Michigan's affinity bar community, we invite you to join us and be part of the movement.

Wednesday, September 23, 2026 | 5:30 p.m.
DUO | 29555 Northwestern Hwy., Southfield, MI 48034

Come network. Come reconnect. Come celebrate. Together, we rise.

The Young Lawyers Section annually hosts the National Trial Advocacy Competition and we are looking for volunteers for the 2026 weekend.

The competition runs from Friday until Sunday afternoon, and we are looking for anyone interested in participating. You do not have to be a sitting judge to participate in the judging process, and it is an excellent way to connect with students from colleges across the country as they compete.

Please see the attachment for details and the QR code to register to judge. If you have any questions, please reach out to the committee at [email protected].
