This week I discuss wage garnishments and why the IRS is an as***le.

Thank you for continuing to read and support my weekly newsletter, Resolving Tax Debts!

I appreciate all of you.

The IRS is an as***le. It’s Friday and it's payday and you look at your bank account expecting to see all the money you need for the next two weeks but instead you see that your paycheck is A LOT smaller than it should be.

Hey guys,

I published this week's article for my weekly LinkedIn newsletter, Resolving Tax Debt in which I discuss payroll tax debt and what you as a business owner should do if you find yourself in tax trouble.

The tax code is impossibly complex and business owners have SO much to do.

They're juggling employees, business operations, quality control, and about a thousand other things.

Which is why many find themselves with payroll tax debt problems.

Check out this week's article, Managing Payroll Tax Debt: You Realize You're Going to Be Personally Liable for Those Too, Right? which you can find at the link below.

I never promote myself but I wanted to find out for sure whether it's a good idea to fight the IRS by yourself, without professional representation.

I don't want to give away too much but

Spoiler Alert: It's not

Check out my articles "You Need Professional Tax Representation When You Have a Problem with the IRS (even if you think you don't)" Part 1 and 2 with links below.

The IRS uses technology from like 1995.

But they just got $80 billion from the Inflation Reduction act (still the most ridiculous name ever)

And they're using it to update technology internally.

Changes are already under way!

1: π€ππ―πšπ§πœπžπ 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐚π₯𝐲𝐭𝐒𝐜𝐬 - Helping the IRS spot discrepancies more easily and more accurately.

2: π€πˆ-𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 πœπ‘πšππ›π¨ππ¬ - Offering 24/7 support but it can’t replace humans especially for specific & complex issues.

3: 𝐁π₯𝐨𝐜𝐀𝐜𝐑𝐚𝐒𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐑𝐧𝐨π₯𝐨𝐠𝐲 - Great for securing taxpayer information but data is hard to revise.

Let's talk about it!

Working with the IRS is a nightmare. Long waits, agents that don’t know what they’re doing, β€œcourtesy” disconnectβ€” it’s about as fun as having a tooth pulled.
