The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office says it will be participating in Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) Enforcement from March 13-17.
“Impaired driving puts everyone at risk. Whether it’s alcohol, ma*****na, prescription medication, or other substances — if it affects your ability to drive, don’t get behind the wheel.”
The Sheriff's Office says during February, it took part in a speed enforcement campaign and made 199 traffic stops, resulting in:
-100 speeding citations
-61 verbal warnings
-14 nonmoving violations
-7 misdemeanor arrests
-4 texting citations
-3 seat belt tickets
