Candace French recently had the opportunity to participate in the inaugural Dream. Grow. Thrive. Youth Celebration, hosted by Quivera Enterprises and the Wichita Tribe Industrial Development Commission (WTIDC) during the 48th Wichita Annual Dance.

The celebration focused on supporting and inspiring Wichita youth, connecting families with valuable Tribal resources, and highlighting opportunities available within the community.

“As Indian Country is in great need of Native American attorneys, guiding tribal youth towards this career path is incredibly important to me. Events like Dream. Grow. Thrive. ensure our youth are supported in their endeavors and provide access to resources that may otherwise be unavailable. I am thankful to Quivera Enterprises for inviting me to share my journey to becoming an attorney with my Wichita community during the 48th Wichita Annual Dance.” — Candace D. French, Indian and Tribal Attorney

We are proud to see Candace sharing her experience and helping inspire the next generation of leaders in Indian Country.

We’re proud to spotlight Greg Gillis, who recently attended the 2026 AAA-International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR) Construction Conference, where industry leaders explored the trends shaping the future of dispute resolution. Greg serves on the American Arbitration Association’s Construction, Large Complex Case, Commercial, and Consumer Panels of Neutrals, bringing extensive experience and leadership to the dispute resolution community.

A recurring theme throughout the conference was that the risks shaping construction disputes are evolving as climate risk, labor shortages, AI, and technology continue to drive claims. Discussions focused on how ADR needs to adapt to these construction changes.

We’re also pleased to announce that Greg will be joining fellow presenters John Hanover (pictured left), Mediator/Arbitrator with ADR Services, Inc., and Elaine Y. Lee (pictured center), Partner at Peckar & Abramson, P.C., at the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law’s 2027 Midwinter Meeting in February in San Francisco. Their Plenary Session is entitled, “Making Peace While Saying Your Piece: Inside the Mediation Room and Beyond.” This session will explore the strategic and practical considerations that make mediation more effective, both during the session and in its aftermath.

Greg’s continued leadership and expertise reinforces his service to Arizona’s mediation and arbitration needs.
