Taylor brings more than a decade of experience in education, policy, and advocacy. She is also a board-certified special education advocate and founder of “The IEP Lady,” where she has helped families nationwide navigate IEPs, Section 504 plans, behavioral supports, and due process matters.

With experience in school leadership, education innovation, and program development, Taylor brings a unique perspective and deep systems knowledge to our team.

Garcia Hong Law is proud to represent Anthony Catena, a father searching for answers and seeking information from individuals he believes have helped conceal the whereabouts of his daughter.

In Catena v. Wade-Northen, et al. (Case No. 30-2025-01504829-CU-NP-CJC), the defense recently attempted to delay the case by asking the Court to stay/pause the litigation based on Fifth Amendment concerns. The Court denied the request and ordered that the case move forward.

This ruling allows discovery to continue and moves the case one step closer to obtaining information our client has been seeking.

At Garcia Hong Law, we continue fighting for clients facing difficult and deeply personal disputes — especially when delay tactics stand in the way of answers and accountability.

Calling future lawyers, leaders, and advocates! ⚖️

Applications are now open for the Garcia Hong Law Summer Law Exploration Academy, an 8-week program designed for high school and college students interested in the legal profession, leadership, and public service.

📅 June 15 – August 6, 2026

Students will gain real-world exposure to the legal field through:
• Hands-on experience with solo practitioners and small law firms
• Networking opportunities with attorneys, judges, and legal professionals
• Visits to the San Diego Superior Court and Southern District of California
• Guest speakers and career development workshops
• Resume and mock interview training
• Community service opportunities with Feeding San Diego and Food From the Bar
• Capstone presentations and scholarship opportunities

Participants will also hear directly from judges and attorneys across San Diego, including leaders in civil, criminal, immigration, appellate, and federal practice.

This program is designed to help students build confidence, leadership skills, and professional connections while exploring careers in law and advocacy.

Lynsey is a student at the University of San Diego School of Law and serves as Co-Chair of the First Generation Legal Professionals. She previously interned for Senator Brian Schatz in Hawaii and brings a strong passion for advocacy, leadership, and public service to our team.

Winning an anti-SLAPP motion means protecting the right to report concerns to law enforcement without facing retaliatory litigation.

Garcia Hong Law successfully obtained dismissal of defamation and false light claims arising from communications to law enforcement, and our client may now recover attorneys’ fees under California’s anti-SLAPP statute.
