Congratulations to our firm’s President and founder, Jeff Ray, who was selected as the Outstanding Senior Lawyer for the 2023 year. This award is given by the El Paso Bar Association to an outstanding lawyer who has been practicing law for 30 years or more. Jeff began his law career at the age of 24, founded our law firm in 1989, and has continued to legally serve the Southwest and beyond with dedication and a work-ethic that is unmatched to this day. In addition to countless milestones and accomplishments in his practice as an attorney, Jeff has also served as a board member to the EPBA and has been recognized for his continuance of our firm’s pro bono commitments to the community, the bar, and beyond.

3 years ago today, we remember where we were standing, who we called and who called us to warn us or check-in. We remember the anger, the horror, the fear, and the sadness that overcame the El Paso community. Most importantly, we remember the 23 lives that were taken and their families who lost children, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends, coaches, teammates, and so much more. We remember a community that came together in their grief and became El Paso Strong.

Jeramy has been with the firm since April 2019, and since that time he has worked on civil defense, criminal defense, domestic relations, and police administrative matters. Jeramy provides clients the unique perspective of a trial attorney, past counsel to a City engaged in complex police reform, and litigator well versed in all aspects of civil litigation. Jeramy is married to Rebecca Velarde, with whom he has two young children that are the joy of his life.
