In a world that never stops moving, the ability to adapt is more important than ever. Earlier this month, we held an interactive session for firm employees where we discussed practical tools to help manage stress, recover from setbacks, and stay focused, even when things feel uncertain or overwhelming. We explored how the brain responds to change, learned simple daily habits that support mental well-being, and discovered how to build resilience like a muscle.

Thank you to the Sands Anderson leadership team for equipping us with strategies to stay grounded, flexible, and forward-focused!

She enjoys conducting legal research, digging through real estate records, or deciphering plats to make complex transactions come together. We appreciate how detail-oriented she is and her openness to learning and embracing new tools and technologies.

At Sands Anderson, many of our firm members invest their time and skills in service that strengthens the communities where we live and work.

This month, we're highlighting Elizabeth Chupik and her work with United Way of Hampton Roads, Women United, an organization focused on improving outcomes for women and children affected by violence and poverty. The organization supports grants and initiatives focused on financial stability, family support services, and emergency resources.

Elizabeth’s time serving as a prosecutor in child abuse and domestic violence cases sparked her desire to engage more in her community with organizations that address women's and children's issues. When she was introduced to Women United, she knew it was an organization whose mission she could support. Today, she serves as Vice Chair of the Board, helping guide the organization’s mission and growth.
