Exciting news coming out of the Olive Mill in Queen Creek! Love it! š„°
This oneās interesting⦠especially if youāre from Queen Creek.
The Queen Creek Olive Mill is opening a new spot called The Olive Farmer⦠but not in QC. Itās going into Arcadia at 44th & Osborn, taking over the old Santo space. []
Hereās what it actually isā¦
Itās not just a restaurant. Itās a full setup⦠coffee and pastries in the morning, then it turns into more of an Italian deli during the day, and a full dinner spot at night with pizza and house-made pasta.
Theyāre also adding a market inside, so you can grab olive oils, take-home stuff, even take-and-bake meals. Thereās a coffee + gelato bar too.
Why this oneās getting attentionā¦
Itās not just the Olive Mill. They partnered with the group behind Citizen Public House and The Gladly⦠and Bernie Kantak is leading the kitchen.
Theyāve also got a dedicated āFlour Labā where theyāll be making pasta and dough in-house⦠and you can actually see it happening.
Food-wiseā¦
Think Italian sandwiches made on pizza dough, fresh pastas like vodka and bolognese, focaccia, pastries, cannoli⦠and a full dessert lineup with gelato.
Thereās also a hidden back bar called ISSIMA⦠more of an Italian cocktail vibe with vermouths, amaros, citrus⦠that kind of thing.
If you already like the Arcadia food scene, youāll probably be into this.
If you care about quality ingredients or how food is made, same thing.
And if youāre from Queen Creek and already like the Olive Mill, this is probably one youāll check out at some point.
Theyāre aiming for a fall openingā¦
but this feels like one of those places thatās being built out the right way, not rushed.
Not in Queen Creek⦠but definitely one QC people are going to end up at.
