Maine law protects employees from discrimination based on race, s*x, s*xual orientation, gender identity, disability, religion, age, ancestry and familial status, among other characteristics. For employees, understanding these protections and how to assert them is an important first step. Perkins Thompson's employment practice group works with employers of all sizes on compliance, policy development, workplace investigations and employment disputes.
