Tucker has gained a variety of litigation experience from working in both public and private practice. It was at the Hillsborough County Public Defender's Office in Tampa, Florida where she was able to develo
p her trial skills and courtroom advocacy. At the Public Defender's Office, Amber worked on thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies punishable by life in prison. In 2009, Amber returned to Maine and worked at the Maine Office of the Attorney General's Office in York County as a Drug Task Force Attorney. While at the AG's office, she prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases, including misdemeanors and felonies. While working for the AG's office, Amber taught seminars in drug law and drug crime investigation to law enforcement officers throughout Maine. In 2011, Amber taught Deviance and Crime at the University of New England as an adjunct professor of sociology and criminology. In 2012, Amber went into private practice and worked for Laskoff & Associates in Lewiston, Maine. While there, Amber represented numerous clients in the areas of criminal defense, family law, personal injury and general civil practice. In 2014, Amber began working for The Law Offices of Owen Pickus, D.O., Esq. in Kennebunk, Maine where she continued to handle criminal defense, family matters and civil litigation, including medical malpractice cases. Lilley Law Offices in Portland, Maine as the Senior Associate Attorney. She worked on various matters, including high profile criminal, civil rights and medical malpractice cases. Amber worked for Daniel G. Lilley until his office closed in 2017 and she formed The Law Office of Amber L. Amber brings to her new practice, all of the varied professional experiences and skills learned from her past employment, colleagues and mentors.
