An HOA foreclosed on a home over $988.

By the time it was over, the total owed was about $8,000. Attorney's fees, late fees, filing fees, and interest after judgment all got added on.

The part that stuck with me: all of it is allowed under Arizona law.

If you own a home in an Arizona HOA, keep an eye on your assessments. A small balance you plan to deal with later can snowball fast.

Been meaning to do your estate plan for years? You're in good company.

For most of my clients, this is the first estate plan they've ever done. Wills, trusts, powers of attorney. They know they need it and still put it off, because everything else on the list keeps winning.
